Food insecure families

1. Uncooked food delivery:

To achieve the stated motto, Free hunger Education Foundation (FHE) volunteers started a weekly act of compassion program in Kigali by delivering uncooked food to 12 families ( 27 school-children). Help the family to save the litle money thye would spend on food for other development activities

2. Mid-Day Food:

HFE is starting to serve free mid-day meal to all students enrooled in the program, through Community Kitchen to hungry children in Pri- mary schools located in very poor neighborhood in Kigali city. The children in these communities come from very poor economic background, and for them this mid-day meal could be the only complete meal for the entire day.

Tutor the Children
Every child with a Hoodie

7. Grow together Hoodie.

creates a powerful bridge between Canadian and Rwandan youth through shared identity and mutual support. By wearing their HungerFE Rwanda hoodie, children in Canada can sponsor a "friendship fair" for a peer in Rwanda, sparking a life-changing exchange of culture, language, and perspectives on the world. This connection goes beyond conversation; the Canadian family commits to providing essential school support, ensuring their buddy in Rwanda has the tools to succeed. It is a unique partnership that transforms a simple gift into a lasting bond of global solidarity and educational empowerment.

Find a happy Child
6. Solidarity Camp: offers students a transformative immersion into community service and cultural exchange. By living and working alongside local families, participants build deep empathy and firsthand understanding of our mission. It’s more than a trip; it’s a journey that turns students into lifelong advocates for a hunger-free world.

5. Child Mentor Program:

We feel that our role as a tutor is one of the most significant help we can offer to our children. Children learn how to increase their reading and writing skills which will help them to become more self-sufficient in their studies and in their lives in general.
