ABOUT US
Who We Are
At Hunger Free Education, we believe education is the key to a brighter future — and we put that belief into action every day. Since our founding, we’ve partnered with more than 25 schools across Rwanda to ensure vulnerable children can learn, grow, and thrive.

For over seven years, public school teachers have struggled with challenges such as poor attendance, declining results, and the anxiety children face when their basic needs aren’t met. We work to ease this burden by providing nutritious meals, school supplies, summer camps, school fees, and other essential support to create happier, healthier classroom environments.

And guess what? It works! Children return to school with energy and hope, ready to succeed.

Our volunteers also play a vital role. Many are recent university graduates who bring passion and creativity to our programs, typically serving with us for a year to gain meaningful experience before stepping into the workforce. Together, we’re building a cycle of opportunity — for both the children we serve and the young leaders who support them.
